ACTIVITIES

7.1 Develop social indicators (poverty profile, equity, group cohesion, governance, education).

7.2 Develop environmental indicators (resources degradation, productivity, soil fertility).

7.3 Develop economic indicators (welfare, market opportunities).

7.4 Using available baseline data, use these indicators to assess the impact of the programme at the household, community, production system and national levels.

7.5 Refine the community modeling program, in partnership with advanced research institutes, and make available to national government research agencies.

    8.1 Facilitate the exchange of information and transfer of innovations between countries and communities

    8.2 Facilitate inter-country backstopping and technical assistance based on NARS comparative advantages in specific research

    8.3 Develop regional research networks on rangeland management, development of the community approach, and drought mitigation.

    8.4 Training of national extension agents, development project staff and other stakeholders in participatory and community approaches and TIPOs.

    8.5 Capacity building of community members and other stakeholders through traveling workshops, community workshops, training programs, etc..
