PURPOSE : To provide technical, policy and institutional options that empower local communities and promote sustainable livelihoods and production systems and the conservation of agropastoral resources. |
Community approaches and technical, institutional and policy options (TIPOs) available to policy makers, research and extension services, rural communities, NGOs and other stakeholders.
Research findings are included in the design of rural development strategies in dry areas.
The community approach is institutionalized in research and extension services and in development programs and projects.
